Do you criticize?
The Bible says that there are two constant acts happening in front of the throne of God: accusation (Rev. 12:10) and intercession (Heb. 7:25). The spirit of Satan always promotes division. In Rev. 12:10 Satan is given the title “The Accuser of our Brethren”. This has been his specialty from the beginning, when he set Cain against Able. Satan understands the Biblical principle that states that “One can put a thousand to flight, but two can put ten thousand to flight”. Because of this he will try hard to divide us. The greatest threat to Satan’s domain is the unity of the church. Our ability to accomplish what God wants for us will lie in our ability to unify.
James 4:6 says,”God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Think about this: It would be better to have all of the demons of hell resisting us than God! One of the greatest forms of pride is manifested through criticism. When we criticize other people, we are actually saying that God’s workmanship doesn’t match up to our standards. So when you criticize someone because they are different: ethnically, physically or mentally, you are saying that you can do better than God. Just think about that!
